ACVTS makes use of a voting system that helps to determine the position a particular website listed in our directories can occupy. However, a single person cannot influence the ranking of these websites and as such the greater the number of people voting for a particular site, the better would be the rank of that website. In other words, every website has an equal chance of ranking higher up depending upon the number of users that click the voting button.
ACVTS likes to create a comprehensive listing of websites that are able to provide accurate information to all users and as such we do not utilize metadata elements or any other systems to determine the positioning of a website. All rankings are achieved through human results and as such there is no question of any sites being “fixed.” Every vote counts and the total votes add up to give the overall ranking of a particular website. This ranking is based on a numerical system from zero to five, five being the highest. The higher a particular website ranks, the more trusted and effective it is in providing accurate information to a user.
Every vote is verified so as to make sure that it comes from a unique IP address. All sponsored links are either placed to the right or to the top of the page, so as not to overwhelm you with any information. ACVTS also likes to provide input and as such different editor recommendations are provided at the top of the voted listings. Therefore, a user can make use of editorial recommendations as well as the voting ranks of websites to decide whether a particular website is accurate in the data it provides.
